Defeated by technology.

All kinds of things went wrong here. This was a better run than last weekend, but I was planning on 22 miles (adding Vettiner Park to the run).

Defeated by technology. Garmin battery had discharged most of the way, so I allowed it to charge for ~ 45 minutes via AC prior to running. Low battery warning at 16.5 miles, so I headed back instead of running without constant feedback. Weak.

Did some demoralizing neighborhood looping rather than risk “untracked” miles. Sad. Now I’m pondering 8 tomorrow as punishment for my patheticness.

  • Overcoming excuses to run outside (22-miler in 3:33:29) #twit2fit #running I've been mostly "treadmill-bound" for the last several weeks.  Part of it is due to schedule conflicts--it's hard to run outside when your only options are in the middle of the night and before the sun is up in the morning, especially when you have kids to watch.  However, part......
