In an effort to avoid any further injury, I’m laying off all workouts this weekend.
I had some concern that my pushups routine was causing strain on already weakened joints, tendons, and muscles. So far, this action has seemed to help more clearly identify where the pain is.
I have some light pain sensations at night on the outside area of my hip. This is a little bit different from the groin pull and piriformis muscle pain that I seemed to have before. I’ll give things another 24 hours before calling the doctor about it, especially considering that today is Sunday and I’ve waited almost two weeks so far.

- I can walk without a major limp. #twit2fit The left piriformis bursa is still pretty ticked off, and I now I have a little left hip flexor pain, but I can mostly walk normally on a 600 mg dose of Advil. - Overcoming excuses to run outside (22-miler in 3:33:29) #twit2fit #running I've been mostly "treadmill-bound" for the last several weeks. Part of it is due to schedule conflicts--it's hard to run outside when your only options are in the middle of the night and before the sun is up in the morning, especially when you have kids to watch. However, part......
- A journey of 5,000 miles begins with one mile. 1,189 days ago, on April 24,2006, I began a quest that was doomed to fail like so many times before. I weighed over 220 lbs. At some point during the preceding winter, I weighed over 230 lbs (at just under 5'8"). That's a BMI of 35.5--obese. Something was different this......
