I’m pretty sure that I’ve never accomplished that before, even though I’ve run 60 miles in a week at least twice, and I’ve been running for almost 3 years now.
3.42 miles in 32’26″, for 9’30″/mile. I did some strides at the end of my run, so my actual pace for the run (first 3 miles) was about 9’40″, and my third mile was just below a 10 minute pace.
With the strides in the last 0.42 miles, I averaged just above an 8 minute pace, and had a small burst of 6’15″ speed.

My expected easy/long run pace is roughly 9:30 per mile, but I'm okay with 10 minute miles given the warmer weather. My result was a 10:19 pace for 16 miles, with the last few......
- Bluegrass 10000 Race Report I noticed something this morning preparing for the race: I had received what appeared to be a seeded bib despite last year's 57:27 time in this event. In registering, I'm sure I might have had some lofty goal such as 45 minutes... about 1:26 off my 10k PR... but nothing seed-worthy.......
- Never been so disappointed in a sub-3 hour 20 mile long run #running #twit2fit I tried to repeat the workout that I pulled off last week--5-4-3-2-1 @ MP on a long run. Last week, that run made me feel that I had a shot at 3:20 for a marathon. This week, my run made me feel I would struggle to hit my PR. While......
- Slightly up tempo 4 miler I had a slightly up tempo 4+ mile run today: 4.27 miles in 34:55, or 8'11" paceMy "sluggish" first mile ended being 8:16. I decided to try and kick it up tempo for the next mile, finishing in 8 minutes even. I took it easier the 3rd and 4th miles,......
- Streak, Day 5: 2.81 miles in 27'01" #twit2fit Yesterday was a "tempo" day--a 1 mile tempo. Maybe that's an interval. Needless to say, I thought I could run a 7 minute mile, but I lost the pace at about 4/10 of a mile and struggled to keep a 7'20" mile. Coming off of that effort with a little......
- Guess my 20 miler time: I ran 6.29 miles in the first hour + highest mileage week in a year. This was not a set up for a good long run today: I had a mid-back spasm in the first mile of my 5-miler yesterday morning that was still bothering me this morning. [Managed to fight for a 9'22" pace yesterday] The first hour of the run didn't break 9:30......
