7 days in a row. #twit2fit

I’m pretty sure that I’ve never accomplished that before, even though I’ve run 60 miles in a week at least twice, and I’ve been running for almost 3 years now.

3.42 miles in 32’26″, for 9’30″/mile.  I did some strides at the end of my run, so my actual pace for the run (first 3 miles) was about 9’40″, and my third mile was just below a 10 minute pace.

With the strides in the last 0.42 miles, I averaged just above an 8 minute pace, and had a small burst of 6’15″ speed.

Only an insane man would do a hard workout when......
  • Negative splits on my 18 miler (streak day 92) #twit2fit Last week, I ran a 16 miler in which I never got my legs under me.   My expected easy/long run pace is roughly 9:30 per mile, but I'm okay with 10 minute miles given the warmer weather. My result was a 10:19 pace for 16 miles, with the last few......
  • Bluegrass 10000 Race Report I noticed something this morning preparing for the race: I had received what appeared to be a seeded bib despite last year's 57:27 time in this event. In registering, I'm sure I might have had some lofty goal such as 45 minutes... about 1:26 off my 10k PR... but nothing seed-worthy.......
