  • Streak, Day 5: 2.81 miles in 27'01" #twit2fit Yesterday was a "tempo" day--a 1 mile tempo.  Maybe that's an interval.  Needless to say, I thought I could run a 7 minute mile, but I lost the pace at about 4/10 of a mile and struggled to keep a 7'20" mile. Coming off of that effort with a little......
  • Almost a perfect 12-mile loop through Fern Creek/J-Town #twit2fit 12 miles, 1:55:06 (9:36/mile), 10 straight weeks running. This was my longest run in almost 5 months.  I didn't get to start bright and early when the day is the coolest.  I didn't run in a public park today (not even through Vettiner).  I didn't run across anyone else who......
  • Streak day 17 #twit2fit Nothing spectacular...  I decided to add "recovery" days into the streak.  Right now, I have them set at 2.5 miles on Tuesday and Thursday (beginning next week). 2.3 miles in 22'27" for 9'46" per mile, 2% incline.   I ran most of the run at 10'00" pace, with a 9'50"......
  • Negative splits on my 18 miler (streak day 92) #twit2fit Last week, I ran a 16 miler in which I never got my legs under me.   My expected easy/long run pace is roughly 9:30 per mile, but I'm okay with 10 minute miles given the warmer weather. My result was a 10:19 pace for 16 miles, with the last few......
  • Help... I'm working on a 70-mile week, with a goal marathon on 11/8... #running Ok, clarification...  the help I seek is with my plan, not with my sanity. Working on a 70-mile week, goal marathon 11/8. [Training log summary] Should I push through to 80 miles over the next 4 weeks or down to the 50-60 mile range and work on pacing?  Currently, my......
