It was a beautiful, if slightly windy, day outside. 62′F and sunny. I tried a shortened interval session outside in the office park (not for the faint of heart).
I was almost knocked off of the road by a Green Expedition [license plate would be included if I had remembered it] whose driver decided not to wait for the car in front of him and angrily passed while talking on his cell phone–right at the point where I was on the road. I guess the phone conversation and trip to the bank/Chilis was more important than actually paying attention to the road.
…anyway… I managed to get a couple of sub-7 pace 800s in, and a final quick stride at a 6’10″ pace at the end of the run: 4.9 miles in 43’22″ (8’52″/mile).

If my mileage stays steady, it looks like my legs currently have roughly a comfortable 8:30 pace in them. After a......
- Hills and snow long run - a trail run despite the pavement technicality My long run today was going to be fairly sluggish just because of my piriformis soreness issues lately. However, I never thought that it would be as dicey or as slow as it was today. Those who know my running habits and philosophy know that I never run outside with......
- Day 30 of the streak. #twit2fit A lot of stuff going on here. First of all, my graph. 30 runs in 30 days--no gaps in the graph: Secondly, I did this last run at 4:55 AM, on the treadmill in the basement of a house that's not air-conditioned at the moment. It's warmer in the basement......
- Brother, that's some determination - streak day 12 #twit2fit Normally, I don't like comments from people as I run by them while I'm running the neighborhoods, but that's usually because of the "Run, Forrest, Run" style comments. It's probably part of the reason that I like running at 6:30 am. Well, today was different. A guy who was outside......
