100 days running #streak #twit2fit

I started today off nice and early with a 5 mile run on the treadmill downstairs.  Hoping for another 5 miler at lunch, but for now I’ve hit a nice little milestone:

100days

Here’s how the mileage went on a daily basis:

Rodes City Run 10k Race Report Course Commentary Ah, Rodes.  Despite being similar in size to the Anthem 5k [7301 finishers vs 8516 finishers], Rodes is the antithesis of the Anthem 5k. First of all, there is more than twice as much race course per participant, which allows for better spacing for most of the race.......
  • Switching focus away from the marathon for a little while I've had a combination of really good marathon experiences and really bad marathon experiences at this point. 100 days in a row is something to be proud of! I can’t imagine; I take at least 1-2 days off per week. But I do wonder if I’d be better off without the rest day? Do you feel better without rest days?

I don’t necessarily feel any better without the rest days. However, the “streaking” mindset has helped me value “running tomorrow” over any mileage or speed considerations.

The longer you maintain consistency, the more you’ll realize your full potential.
