Wanted: running shoe wear testing opportunity #running

Qualifications:

  • I run, up to 70-80 miles per week.
  • I train on treadmills as easily as roads, so if I need to log 300 miles on treadmills, I can.
  • I’m roughly a 170-lb runner with flat feet who runs in neutral shoes, with Mizuno Wave Riders and Saucony Rides being my shoes of choice for 2500 miles per brand (5000 miles total, 500 miles per shoe).

  • First long run in a while I barely consider 14 a long run anymore, but consider it's 6 miles longer than my longest run in 3 weeks, it was a long run. My goal was to hit 8'51"/mile for every mile. I averaged it, but went over on three different miles. My tendon next to my ankle......
  • Streak, Day 5: 2.81 miles in 27'01" #twit2fit Yesterday was a "tempo" day--a 1 mile tempo.  Maybe that's an interval.  Needless to say, I thought I could run a 7 minute mile, but I lost the pace at about 4/10 of a mile and struggled to keep a 7'20" mile. Coming off of that effort with a little......
  • Best run ever In terms of overall enjoyment, this was probably my best run ever, 5.3 miles in 44:31 minutes. 69'F, sunny, slight breeze, Friday, no big meetings left this week, legs fairly fresh...  if every run felt like this, I'd run 100s of miles per week. I've spent the last week trying......
  • Streak? Day 3. 2.6 miles in 25'07" #twit2fit Ran a slow progression on the Sole F80 treadmill with my old ASICS Gel-1120s.  Tried out the built-in speakers on the treadmill with my iPod.  Pretty nice. 0.0-0.5 miles @ 6.0 mph 0.5-1.0 miles  @ 6.1 mph 1.0-1.5 miles @ 6.2 mph 1.5-2.0 miles @ 6.3 mph 2.0-2.5 miles @......
  • My splits This was a very consistent run for me. A little pain the last three miles, shortened my gel intake to every 5 miles instead of every hour. Lap Time Distance 1 8:34 1.00 2 7:51 1.00 3 8:04 1.00 4 7:51 1.00 5 7:56 1.00 6 8:04 1.00 7 8:44......
  • Trying to qualify for Boston? A mileage vs. speed calculator Boston Marathon Qualifying Times Chart and Predictor.  An interesting take on calculators: For me: (for 100 miles per week) The slowest you can run and still qualify for the Boston Marathon is 3:10:59.  This is a 7:17 per mile pace.  If you train at 100 miles per week, you need......
